മലബാർ ദേവസ്വം ബോർഡിന് കീഴിലുള്ള ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് 60 പവൻ സ്വർണം മോഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടതിനെയും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി Pinarayi Vijayan മറ്റൊരു “ചെറിയ വീഴ്ചയായി” ചിത്രീകരിച്ച് നിസ്സാരവൽക്കരിക്കുമോ? ദേവസ്വം ബോർഡ് മന്ത്രി രാജിവെക്കാൻ ഇനിയുമെത്ര അഴിമതികൾ കൂടി പുറത്തുവരേണ്ടതുണ്ട്?
ശബരിമല ഒരു ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ട സംഭവമായിരുന്നില്ല. ഭക്തരുടെ താൽപ്പര്യം സംരക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന് പകരം, ദേവസ്വം ബോർഡ് ഇന്ന് അഴിമതിക്കാരായ ഇടനിലക്കാരുടെ ഈറ്റില്ലമായി മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ശബരിമല പോലുള്ള പുണ്യസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലെ സ്വത്തുക്കൾ അവർക്ക് കൊള്ളയടിക്കാനുള്ളവ മാത്രമാണ്.
2016-ൽ പ്രതിപക്ഷ നേതാവായിരുന്നപ്പോൾ, കേരള മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ വാക്കുകൾ തന്നെ കടമെടുക്കട്ടെ: “ഉത്തരവാദിത്തവും പ്രതിബദ്ധതയുമാണ് ഒരു സർക്കാരിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനം. അതിൽ പരാജയപ്പെട്ടാൽ, ‘അൽപ്പമെങ്കിലും ഉളുപ്പുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ’ രാജിവെക്കണം.”
ഒഴിവുകഴിവുകളുടെ കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞു. BJP Keralam മുന്നോട്ട് വെച്ച ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ ഉടനടി നടപ്പിലാക്കണം.
ഞങ്ങളുടെ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളും പൈതൃകവും കൊള്ളയടിക്കുന്നത് കൈയും കെട്ടി നോക്കിനിൽക്കാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ തയ്യാറല്ല.

Will Pinarayi Vijayan call the theft of 60 sovereigns of gold from Malabar Devaswom Board temples another “slip-up”? How many more scams have to come out before the Devaswom Minister resigns?
Sabarimala was not an isolated case. Instead of protecting the interests of believers & bhaktas, the Devaswom Board has become a den of corrupt brokers. Assets of sacred places of worship like Sabarimala are treated as things to be looted.
To quote the Kerala CM when he was the Opposition Leader in 2016 – accountability and commitment are requirements in government. And if you fail and have even a little bit of shame (alpam enkilum ulupp), you should resign.
Time for excuses is over. All BJP Keralam’s demands must be implemented without delay.
We will not stand by while our temples and heritage are looted.
